Who Talks for My Country Now? to multimedialna wystawa prezentująca spotkanie i interakcje gości Aborygenów Ngaanyatjarra z ich światem życia, który charakteryzuje się bogactwem i złożonością rzadko spotykanymi poza Australią. Wystawa podkreśla hojność Yarnangu z pustyni Australii Zachodniej wobec tych, którzy mieszkają i pracują z nimi na wybrzeżu Australii i Polski. Efekty tej międzykulturowej interakcji zostaną ożywione w serii rozmów w Bydgoskim Centrum Sztuki i Centrum Sztuki Mózg między Albertiną Viegas, Jan i Izzy Turner oraz ich gospodarzami z Polski.
Kulturowo znaczące dzieła, w tym prace artystów z Ngaanyatjarra, Pulpuru Davies i I. Warda, zostaną zaprezentowane wraz z bogatą wystawą instalacji fotograficznych i audiowizualnych nagradzanego operatora Jasona Thomasa, wschodzącą twórczynię filmów Izzy Turner i wieloletniego lokalnego animatora kultury Sławka Janickiego. Wystawę dopełnią plecione koszyki, naszyjniki z koralików, pustynny piasek, ochry i pióra emu. Wydarzeniu towarzyszyć będzie wydanie katalogu wystawy.

WHO TALKS FOR MY COUNTRY NOW? THE AUSTRALIA YOU MAY NOT KNOW is a multimedia exhibition showcasing the visitors’ interface with the Ngaanyatjarra Aboriginal lifeworld with a richness and complexity rarely seen outside Australia. The exhibition highlights the generosity of Yarnangu from the desert of Western Australia to those living and working with them from coastal Australia and Poland. The profound effects of these cross-cultural interactions will be brought to life in a series of conversations and floor talks at Bydgoskie Centrum Sztuki and Mózg Arts Centre between Albertina Viegas, Jan and Izzy Turner and their Polish hosts.
The culturally significant creations including work by Ngaanyatjarra artists Mrs Pulpuru Davies, Mr I. Ward are unveiled alongside a rich display of photographic and audio visual installations of award-winning cinematographer Jason Thomas, emergent filmmaker-artist Izzy Turner and longstanding local cultural animator Sławek Janicki. Woven basketry, bead necklaces, desert sand, ochres and emu feathers complement the exhibition. An exhibition catalogue will accompany the event.
